I’ve released this song as a single twice already, the first as a kind of "demo version" in 2019, and then as a "radio edit" a year later, and now it ended up on this record as well. Of course I have to include my only winter song to complete the seasonal cycle! "Light up" is a soulful, atmospheric, but quite profound song about the most important things of Christmas (and life in general). At least as a child, Christmas was a really important moment for me, when the whole family gathered around one table and ate good food and opened gifts together. Even though I'm singing about Christmas, I hope that this song can be applied to everyone - it can be replaced with "winter" or some other holiday/tradition of choice!
